Dr. Edward Davis graduated from Purdue University in 1972 with a B.S. in Engineering Science. In 1978 he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship at Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1979. He was assigned to the U.S. Public Health Service in Fort Myers from 1979-1982. He spent the next seven years in Fort Myers in a private Family Medicine practice. In 1992, Dr. Davis completed a residency in Neurology in Charleston, South Carolina at the Medical University of South Carolina. He returned to Fort Myers in 1992 where he opened a practice for Adult & Child Neurology.
Dr. Davis has professional licenses in the states of Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Florida. He is board certified in Neurology by the Osteopathic Board of General Practice and the Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. His current professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. During his medical career in Fort Myers he had held many appointments including President of District 11, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Chairman of the Department of Medicine of Gulf Coast Hospital, and recently Director of the Stroke Center for Southwest Regional Medical Center.
